Selected Quotes from It's Grinch Night

But first, a description..

It's Grinch Night! is a story that was written by Dr. Seuss for Halloween (also known as All Hallows Eve). Dr. Seuss produced it, wrote the teleplay and the lyrics. Gerard Baldwin directed it, and Friz Freleng was in on the animation. The copyright is held by Dr. Seuss and A.S. Giesel, 1977.

The story is about the Grinch, and what he does when autumn is in the air. He set out to presumably harass the Whos in Whoville, but ended up running into Ukariah Who, who got blown toward Mount Crumpet by a strong breeze. Ukariah tried to save the Whos in Whoville by stalling for time and letting the Grinch scare him. The movie features a long soliloquy from Max, the Grinch's dog, and some creepy Dr. Suess animation. What follows are quotes from the movie.

Grandpa Josiah:
It sounds like another one's coming.
Another Grinch Night might commence.
I wouldn't go out on a night like this
For a dollar and fifty cents.

Grinch:
MAX! Oh where is he? It's a wonderful night for eyebrows. It's a wonderful night for teeth. It's a wonderful night for Grinch Night!

Grinch:
Max, Max, go bring the Paraphernalia Wagon.

Ukariah:
..And so I suggest we don't stood (sic) here like sticks. Call the Grinch Alarm Center. Dial Area Code 5, 1 - 9 - Double 0 - 6

Grandpa Josiah:
The line's busy ... it's VERY busy ..

Grinch:
Hurry up, Max! I'm rearin' to go!

Grinch:
Giddyup Maxxy, next stop, Whoville, Ha Ha!

Max:
How many times have I said in my head
"What am I doing here?
Why am I the slave of this grinchy old grock."
And I say how I wish I could turn back the clock
And have the fine future I had once before.
And again be an innocent puppy once more.
Grinch:
In your puppy house beddy and your sweet Auntie Woofy Woofoon
Feeding you hominy grits with a big silver spoon?
BLEAAH!

Background Singers:
His wagon wheel obliterates and decimates and flattenates ten thousand little flowers..

Ar, missed one.

Ukariah:
I gotta go to the euphemism.
Grandpa Josiah:
No ones goes to the euphemism on a night like this!

Grinch:
Darn these brickels anyway. I'll be sore for a month. Brickelize me, will they? I'll brickelize the whole township!
Ukariah:
W-W-Will you please scare me some more sir? I sort of like it.
Grinch:
I already gave you the two dollar treatment. You're not worth a first class grinching!

Background Singers:
